Did some more work on my Skullkickers piece at lunch again today. Reworked Rex’s hand and gun a little to flesh it out more and make it somewhat clearer. Also slapped in a rough idea for the lighting I want to use down the line.Jump back one entry to check out the piece pre-lighting :DWill be placing this one on the ‘like-how-it’s-turning-out-will-hopefully-come-back-to-it -soon’ shelf D:

Have a dose of Skullkicker lunch time doodlin’!Took a crack at my two favorite characters from SKULLKICKERS, the comic that I’ve been so very fortunate to work on for the past two years! (I be the colorist, yo).
Here we have Rex and Kusia <3 Not much to say beyond that, I think you get the gist. Pic needs a lot of reworking and anatomy fixes…but I like it so far, has a playful feel to it :D Hope to be able to finish this in the future…between work and more work D: But well, if you have never heard of Skullkickers, you should check it out! You can read the comic for free on Keenspot here, as well as pick up single issues and trades at your local comic shops! :D

Horror Comic Awards

So, as a comic book colorist, this is the first time I’ve ever been nominated for something! I’m listed, along with many other talented folks, under the ‘Best Colorist of 2011’ category!

Please check it out and vote! You have to register for the site, sadly, but it’s to keep people from spamming votes I’m sure.

And if you decided that I deserve your vote, then I thank you greatly in advance! SO HAVE AT!!!

HORROR COMIC AWARDS!

Attending Chicago Comic Con This Weekend

Well, the Chicago Comic Con - Wizard World  - is just right around the corner. I’ll be attending in the artist alley with some goodies (as well as doing commissions), but probably not as much as I’d like due to the fact that I’ve been so busy. I have not had a chance to go out and get prints made yet…so we’ll see what happens.

I’ll be there supporting SKULLKICKERS, the comic I’ve been coloring for for a little over a year now. I’ll have single comic issues available as well as the trade for sale! So please come by, say high, and pick up a few copies!

EDWIN HUANG, the artist for SKULLKICKERS will be there as well, though at a different table then me. He’ll also have merch available and you can get the comic signed by the both of us!

Here is a map of the floor and where you can find us. I’ll be located at booth #3748, and EDWIN will be at  booth #3810

Also, I should have a banner featuring Sayda on it from the image linked  HERE so keep an eye out for that as well!

Hope to see you all there!
Thanks all!
